Palm outsources EDI to Effective Data
Schaumburg, IL (February 27, 2006). Palm, Inc. has extended their EDI outsourcing
partnership with Effective Data (ED), a private Schaumburg - based EDI Consulting and Data
Integration firm.
Sunnyvale, CA – based Palm, Inc. has extended their long-term relationship with Effective
Data. ED and Palm’s relationship goes way back to the beginning of Palm. Years ago, ED
supported all EDI operations at 3Com. When 3Com and Palm branched off into two separate
companies, ED was there. ED continued to support Palm’s EDI operations. Over the years
Palm transitioned Effective Data from an EDI consulting role…to completely outsourcing their
entire EDI department to ED. Now Effective Data manages all Palms’ EDI operations on a daily
basis from their Schaumburg data center. Palm and ED have recently renewed their agreement
to extend well into the future.
